Thought I would join and see whats going on down here since everyone is joining cle racing.

Anyways, My name is Chris. I drive a 95 Civic. I have had a million different set ups on it. Hopefully this is the last one.

It is a single cam z6 motor. Last year it made 274whp 225tq on a mustang dyno. 7.5:1 compression, ebay "50" trim, and 25psi stock trans open diff.

Was hangin with 600's no track times.

This years set up:

Supertech 10.5:1 comp forged pistons

Eagle Rods

New Ported OEM Oil Pump

Bisimoto Level 3.6 cam with KMS .5mm oversized valves, race springs, and titanium retainers

Skunk2 Intake Manifold w/ 60mm throttle body

Garrett 60-1 Turbo with .48 a/r(got the smallest one to help spool with last set up)

RC Autoworks Miniram Manifold and Turbonetics Evo Wastegate

2.5" aluminum IC piping and Tial bov

33x12x3 Intercooler

SI tranny with carbon synchros, new bearings, and MFactory LSD.

3" aluminum exhaust with vibrant alum muffler

Rota slipstream wheels with some skinny 195 falkens(hopefully DR's soon)

intrax lowering springs/kyb struts(looking for coilovers, sooo expensive!)

Willwood Big brake kit up front and integra rear disk brakes

8pt cage

Sure there is more im forgetting but you'll have that. Shooting for 350-400whp pump gas.

And I supposed you want pics?

What is the hole on the timing side of the motor? I'm referring to the one that looks like it was professionally cut out with very clean edges.

:lolguy::lolguy::lolguy:

At least he has a better intro than Palibust or wtf ever the name was.

WTF is on your valve cover?

It's a breather. Had a lot of blow by on my old set up and the stock pcv system sucks on these motors. Hooked up to my catch can.

Came with the motor, not like ya see it in the car anyways, must have cut it out so the motor mount could be easier to take off without taking the crank pulley off and the cover...

High Compression + Boost = POWWAAAAA!!!!!

:gabe:

KillJoy

PS - My Marauder had 10.1 and ran 10psi. EZ PZ!

Thanks for that lesson.. :dumb:

But i would never run that much compression on a car thats pump gas and most likely Driven often.

Depending on gas and what/who is used for tuning similar builds make high 3's to mid 4's.

Btw- why such high compression?

Will be using 93 pump gas. I want to see what it can with that first. Race gas is so damn expensive.

Big3 is tuning it. They put the motor together, I was done building motors after last one spun a bearing, and talked me into the high comp pistons. They already had them at the shop actually. Honda Bob will be tuning it. Only person to ever tune my car and no problems.

They took all the sharp edges of the pistons to help with detonation and with headgasket I believe comp should be roughly 10.3:1.

We will see how much boost once its on the dyno. I don't want it to be somewhat safe so probably keep the boost around 15psi.

Im not too worried about the numbers it puts down. Besides its a mustang dyno and will read low anyways.

Like several STOCK OEM turbo vehicles?

It's fine if its done right. It's all cylinder pressure in the end.

It's all in the tune I think. New civic si's are making like 400whp on pump gas. 11:1 comp stock unopened motors.

IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Full-Race makes a kit for em. Have dyno chart of bone stock si making ~400whp on just under 10psi pump gas. I mean im sure its a dynojet so numbers are high. They said around 15psi they are seeing ~450whp.

I 100% agree with you, I'm just dicking with 2.slow.
