Just picked up a GTO

I just picked this car up and absolutely love it. It's a 2004 with 6-speed manual and it has 42K miles on it and it's in immaculate condition. Modifications are K&N CAI, larger throttle body, hooks headers, catless h-pipe, borla cat back, and a Hurst short shifter. The sound it makes and the power are amazing. This is my first domestic and I must say I'm not disappointed at all, the interior is very well put together with extremely comfortable seats. I'll be driving it up to Columbus in October so Thorne can tune it for me, and maybe stop by IPS for an upgrade or two.

Thanks everybody, the car is a true joy to drive, and I'm very impressed with the LS1 having only had 4cyl cars in the past. I hope I can take as good care of it as the previous owner did.

To Doc and Shane, I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys again when I come up. Ya'll are super cool to hang out with and proof of how nice/welcoming people on CR are away from the keyboard. hahaha

You need more aftermarket shifter.

Nice pick up. Strongly considered one before the Camaro.

it says he has a hurst short throw shifter??

my GTO had a GMM ripshifter with lou's short stick----best shifter combination when i was on the forum. not sure if MGW makes a shifter for the GTO, but i've found MGW makes the best shifters out there---have one on the cobra/vette/'85

Very nice pickup. Extra clean for having 40k+ on the clock too. That's likely one of the huge benefits of having a car where there's no crappy weather.

I really like the silver and black combo too.

Is that silver or white? Ive never seen a white one before.

looks very clean. Have fun with it. I am very jelly.

The car is silver. Funny thing is, when he asked for pics of it, they had to wait for the 'picture taking' guy to come take what are obviously some overexposed pics.

Btw, buddy, Australia is hardly domestic. ;) It's why the interior doesn't look like a cheap, bubbly pos made for toddlers and seniors. :p

Thanks. it's nice not having to worry about rust or anything like that with the car. Silver wasn't my first choice but I decided I liked the more "grown up" vibe I got from Silver/Black.
