Classic techno is Carl Cox back in the late 90-2000's at festivals with 50-100k+ people in Europe. Techno's beat per minute is 140ish. Dub step is way slower. I tend to think dubstep is bad stripper music. Ironically though, it is spreading "dance" type music more than ever because it has drawn in more of the hip-hop crowd due to the similarities in sounds. "liquid" is a dance style that was found in the raves in the 90's in later. It eventually expanded and has morphed into what you see many of today's R&B singers doing today. Dub stepping is an offshoot of liquid. While I will take a guess that crip walking is straight from the West Coast rap movement in the 90's. I could be way off, but it was worth a shot.
