My dad about got his ass kicked by one when we were hog hunting in Texas a couple years ago. He was about 20 yards away from one and shot it with his LR-308. Badger didn't take too kindly to that and took off after him. It was too close to shoot it on the run with the scope but he managed to hit it again about 5 feet before it got to him.
