Mossberg 500

18.5" Barrel

12 Gauge

Sythentic Stock

Includes Pistol Grip Kit

Heatshield

All original packaging: box, manual, lock, and keys.

Less than 2 dozen rounds through it.

Looking to unload this to a co-worker since I don't use it, so I can rationalize getting something else.

What should I be asking for it in today's market? Is $250 reasonable?

Thanks again for the replies. Does anyone have any experience with the Knoxx SpecOps Recoil Reducing Shotgun Stock?

After researching a little more, there appears to be an updated stock that is now available, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMtMHc5qNw8

At the $200-225, I'm starting to consider keeping it, as I'm sure down the road I'll want another shotgun and would be kicking myself. My biggest gripe about the gun is the ergonomics, which I think I could improve by reducing the length of pull and the addition of the pistol grip. Although, I'd have to put another $100 towards the shotgun, which could go towards a rifle that I would use more often and fits me better out of the box.

I thought I'd miss my Moss 500 when I sold it. I'd go down to my friend's farm and shoot clay all the time, but I really don't have any regrets about selling it. I much preferred shooting the handgun that I subsequently got and haven't longed for my shotgun. If you think you're gonna enjoy a rifle more, get a rifle. You can talk about the things you'd do to make the shotgun enjoyable but you never know if you'll enjoy using it until you've sunk the money in.
