It's been done, but looks like shit when rocks start hitting it if there aren't enough coats There have been numerous reports of Plasti-Dip actually melting on the track because it can't stand the heat. Just mix part A with part B then brush on the desired component, wait an hour or so for it to cure and it forms a rather tough plastic "shell".
