Going to be fully revealed at the Detroit Auto Show this week.

Thoughts?

I think it actually looks pretty good. Hopefully it's fun-to-drive and the 2.4L Multi-Air should pack a decent punch (200+HP). It should spawn an SRT version.

comes with three engines and three transmissions. The engines are a "Tigershark" 16-valve 2.0-liter engine, a 16-valve 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine (similar to what's found in the Fiat 500), and the "Tigershark" 2.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder.

The three transmissions will include two automatics and one six-speed manual.

It took those curves like a boss. It is a clean looking car and I think it is better looking than a Cruze.

sweet we needed a new rental car. And add this to the list of names with cool history that dodge has fucked

+1 They should not have used that name though...

Chrysler has already promised a range of powertrains for the Dart, including three different engines and a trio of transmissions (including an optional nine-speed automatic!). Power will come from the automaker's range of new Tigershark small-displacement engines, including a 2.0-liter, 16-valve four, a 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo and a 2.4-liter MultiAir.

A 9-speed automatic? In the compact segment?

Took the curves like a boss? Puh-lease. Wasn't even going fast enough to cause body lean.

I really hope for the best though. Right now, there are very few entry level cars that generate any kind of excitement. If car makers want to build loyal buyers, then give them cars that they want to drive, not appliances.

Sarcasm LOL... I wasn't being serious. You are right I hope they generation some kind of excitement with it.

Dodge has mastered the art of transmission fail.

Looks like a Dodge Charger rear ended a Ford Escort. It's true that it's likely going to be an attempt to capture some rental car market share. I could never seriously own a Dodge. The need to make that a truck line only IMO.
