gbracing81 Posted February 16, 2012 Report Share Posted February 16, 2012 I have a T56 that came out of my '99 T/A. I am pretty sure it has a broken shift fork in it. I would like to get steel forks and carbo fiber syncro's for it. Does any one know where I can get these parts and should I look at doing anything else to it to make it stronger? Or should I not waste my money on building this and just by an aftermarket T56 like the Richmond and be done? I think you'll save money in the long run if you get a second opinion on the damage to your T56, repair options and cost, and whether cost-benefit analysis works for getting a built tranny on your budget. If I get the parts he will do it for $300 but will take him a while to get it done. The one place wants $1000 for the stage 3 plus shipping of my trans to and from Washington. Richard Cranium Posted February 16, 2012 Report Share Posted February 16, 2012 Tick and RPM are the big names I know of when talking about T56s. I bought my level 5 T56 from RPM. I believe they will sell you a package with all the upgraded parts, but I would rather just send them my transmission and know it was done right.
