The Apache wanted this thread but hasn't posted? Let's see if I can provoke him with some non-weapon EDC's:

Old school, a true everyday pocketknife for me for 40 years and it shows it with the wear on the bone handle and scratches. Case XX and IIRC it was 7 or 8 bucks new. Buy quality, take care of it, it will last your lifetime and go to your heirs.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/casehandle.jpg

Something for the watch pocket or vest pocket if I have to dress up. Damascus handle and blade, engraved, gold border:

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/penknifeblade.jpg

I've got one hand-made knife for pocket carry, this was produced by Mike Zscherny. The handle is from a fossilized tusk of a Wooly Mammoth, and it has a Mike Norris random pattern carbon Damascus blade.

The screws are 24k gold plated and the thumbstud is 14k with an inlaid ruby.

There's a fileworked anodized blue titanium liner:

C'mon, Paul, show everyone whatcha got. ;)

Nice knives Doc. I like that last one. I might need to get some more info on that . I have a small collection of vintage case xx from the 70's. I bought these when I was 14-15 years old at flea markets with my family. Couple of my favorites here.

One of my very old case. I do carry this one at times.

This is one that I carry also. It was given to me by an older guy that lived with my great grandmother. I was probably 12-14 years old when he gave it to me. Old Imperial.

I carry this with me all the time in uniform or for outdoor activities. I have the 9500SBK

http://www.benchmade.com/products/9101

I just got it back from Benchmade. After 8 years of hard use, I sent it in and asked them to recondition it and replace the blade. I was issued it in Iraq, and broke the tip off 3 months ago here in Afghanistan. Total cost was $40, and they printed my name and rank on the blade. I normally wouldn't want something like that, but it was cool of them and should I ever misplace it, I would want someone to know who it belongs to. It is the perfect blade for me. And damn, is this thing freaking sharp!!!

I enjoy using my seal pup, I bought it before deploying to Iraq. I will have to remember to post gun and knife pics.

I carry cheap pocket knives so when I inevitably lose one, I care little, and replace easily. Current is a Gerber Evo Jr. I don't trust the man who doesn't carry a knife.

This is what I always though. If I buy something expensive I'm going to lose it. I've lost cheaper things before, but what I noticed, when I spend a ton on something I always know where it is. I've carried a $250 HK auto axis (Benchmade) for the last 3 years and haven't even forgot it once. Same with sunglasses, I bought a pair last year that were over $100 and haven't lost them once.

I like your statement. Mind if I use it? "I don't trust the man who doesn't carry a knife"

I wish I could take credit for it. Person I stole it from gave me a similar reply. So I figure it's public domain now :).

I always carry one of these two blades the first one is a Kershaw Blur that Ive had for awhile and its holding up pretty well so far. It is an assisted knife with a 3 3/8" blade.

The other one which I have been carrying recently is the CRKT M21-14DSFG which I am really liking. It is a big knife but it is also built for heavy duty use which is what it will be used for while at work, it has a 3 7/8" blade. I work with a bunch of hillbillies and am usually the only guy on the crew with a knife so my knives get put through a lot of abuse.

And a size comparison of the two.
