Lets see your Tats and what's the significance behind them? I'm debating on getting a tat (half sleeve? hell I dunno).. from my shoulder to my elbow but I'm not sure what to get. I understand to get something that significant. I have an idea of what to get..probably something with my kids and wife but just not sure what ideas are out there.

Waiting for Hoblick to chime in since he's a walking Tat anyways :)

That and where did you get yours done at and how much was it?

Let it be known the camel tattoo'd on my big toe is shared by many in the world, but only a few friends got them together. It has been said, we are the herd. It is something we find that never gets old to talk about or share with people and is an awesome laugh every time. It's also a great filter. You don't like it, I know we aren't on the same page and don't have to waste much time with you.

Half my back, inner upper arm, and the equation for happiness shield on my shoulder; they are all with great reason and meaning to me. In person over drinks, makes for good time to talk about these.

This is my one and only (so far), on my inner left bicep. Had it done at a shop in Myrtle Beach last July for $200 and it took a little over 2 hrs. I've got some ideas for a few more, but the next few won't be automotive related and I'm planning to keep them all in places that will be mostly covered by a t-shirt.

First Tattoo. Had knee replacement surgery when I was in HS. Left a nasty scar. Liked the bio-mech type thing, two plates welded together and riveted onto the knee.

Second tattoo. Self Explanatory.

Third. Drew this up myself. Bio-mech turbocharged heart. Dial Calipers and a wrench crossed behind them. I'm graduating in May with my BSME so this goes hand in hand with what I'll do in industry and life.

Traded all these for a bunch of work I did on this bike. Made the rear cowl, the mid sets, shift and brake linkages, tuned the carbs, and some exhaust work. Guys name is Nathan Palmer, works at Cloak and Dagger in Dayton, Ohio.

First ever was the cross done at American Tradition in Circleville. Had to have it touched up which was free. I think I paid $180 for it. The wings were added years later, free hand, by a guy who has been inking since I was born. Got them done at a shop by Camp Lejuene. Went there with my BIL when he got his done. Think I paid $220 for the wings. The cross represents my savior and is not the symbol of praise and hope most people reference but a symbol of suffering and death. His life given for me. The angel wing and demon wing are the start of a sleeve paying tribute to Ephesians 6:10-20 talking about the battle between good and evil.

My roman numeral II inside my left bicept. I'm named after my father and this signifies not only his impact in my life, but my heritage as a whole. My parents, grandparents, etc. I will be adding to it in the future to include my native american incestory. It was also done at American Tradition in C-ville. I believe I paid $80 for it.

My ambigram. It's hard to call a tat my fav, but I love this one. It was my first "visible" tat (not covered by a tee shirt). I carried the design in my back pocket for over a year, thought about it, and prayed about it. When I was ready I sold a guitar to go get it. It says "Jesus" and flipped it says "Saves". Self explanitory. I'm a firm believer that Christ saved me from a terrible life that I was leading. This honors that. Also done at American Tradition. Paid $220.

Music around my wrists. It's the verse to the songs "These Two Hands". The lyrics say, "These two hands, Lord you have given me. These two hands, to serve you faithfully, and every time I look down remind me of the plan you have chosen for these two hands." On the inside of each wrist between the start/end of each line is a bass clef. I've been playing bass for many years and want to remember to use the gifts and talents God has given me to glorify him and not let my ego get in the way. Done at American Tradition. I think I paid about $120 or so. Really can't remember this one.

I just set an appointment with Steve at Thou Art today, right before coming here and seeing this thread, to get this done. It's a tribute to my grandfather, Chief Master Sergeant William Nelson, USAF EOD. It has the EOD crab, american flag for his 21 years of serving his country, Christian flag for his life long service of his savior and 24 years of his service as a minister after the military, his stripes, the verse he quoted on his death bed, ("For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." - Phil. 1:21), and his birth/death dates. I go the 27th of this month to get it on my left shoulder and it's running me $220.

I'm a firm believer in getting a tat that has meaning and therefore purpose. Think long and hard about what you want, find a good, clean shop and find an artist whose style you appreciate and allow them to do what they do best.

Had this one done in 07 on my honeymoon in South Beach. Forget the name of the shop, but it was not Miami Ink. It was $300 and took about 3 hours. It faded and needed to be touched up.

The ones below are when I got it touched up and added on. This took about 7.5 hours and got it done for maybe around $350. My wife and I got work done the same weekend and the guy only charged $500 total for ours. He works at a shop in North Carolina. He is dating my friend's sister, so whenever they come up to visit he bring his equipment.

Same for all my previous jobs at banks. Nobody had a clue.

New job? Youth Pastor. Wore shorts sleeves to the intereview, the final interview, and they still saw past the ink and saw the person. Love it.

Hate to bump this up. Anyone else good in Columbus to get it done? I'm still just not sure what to get. I need some inspiration.

I thought about the initials from m wife kids. LAB, CMB and RSB, but I don't know.. it would be on my upper right arm if I did anything.

I guess i'd get more inspiration if I just walked into a shop and see what they can all do. Any suggestions?

Was a horribly done arm band from back in 97..

Both my son and me are year of the dragon, I'm the fire sign, he's water sign. Under arm will be all fire, and water as you can see...Going back in a week to have the fire added

Above that is a photo of the beach my wife and I got married on in Maui, with my daughters name in the sand
