Says in description of that video that she spazzed out because the prof wouldn't answer her random question, "Will evolution kill off blacks?"

Just posting this here because it's been wondered aloud what she asked/what happened to set her off.

Would it have been wrong or frowned upon if a guy walked over and punched her unconscious??

Good question. Not sure if you're being rhetorical or not, but I'll respond as if you're not. :)

I think a lot of people secretly (or perhaps not so secretly) wished someone would have lit her the fuck up.

Now, had a guy done just that, I'm sure there would be some that would applaud it. However, I'd think that there'd also be people who would say something like, "He went too far," "Men should never hit women," etc.

Think here the McDonald's video of the chick getting McJacked by the male employee. She (probably) deserved it, but still there were some who said he took it too far. Same thing would likely happen here: Evolution Edith here deserved to get knocked out, but if she had been there would have been those sympathetic toward her.

Just my thinking.

No, I was totally serious. I think there would have been far more "He went too far" before she was more talk than anything in this situation. People like that simply needs their chin checked really quick by someone and they'll shut up. The saying "all bark and no bite" seems to fit.

With all the shootings and everything that happens in schools these days i think peoples thoughts are starting to change to the side of do what you have to do to protect yourself.

Yeah, I think it is becoming (and maybe should become) a society in which we "shoot first, ask questions later." Long gone are the days in which people get the benefit of the doubt.

I'd say the kid she assaulted while he was sitting down, and then she came back and got in his face screaming at him to hit her ... yeah, he had every right. Not sure what kind of punch he could have thrown sitting down with her leaning over in his face. She was close enough though that a nice head butt would have probably broken her nose.

I've taught college classes and I have to say I'm glad I've never been in the position that this class was in. As the instructor I probably would have tried to kick her out of class myself. That probably would have been a mistake because she was not going to leave without someone getting hurt. Perfect time for campus security, let them handle it and then call the cops to arrest her.

P.S. In a perfect world, a girl would have stepped in and beat her ass. That way, everyone would have been happy, minus Evolution Erica.

This.

Why didn't Don Imus narrate this video?

Does anyone know why she flipped out in the first place? I only caught part of it and it was when she was talking shit about the white man.

beacuse columbus state

It blows my mind how people can go 30-40 years (how ever old she is) and still get away with acting like that anywhere, much less in a collegiate atmosphere.

Police had to physically remove a student from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton Tuesday.

She allegedly threatened to kill her white classmates.

The incident was captured on video.

The woman is now undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

FAU said the dean of students planned to take immediate action regarding the matter.

Wednesday morning FAU released this statement:

The FAU Police Department was alerted of a significant disturbance caused by a student in a classroom in the General Classrooms South building at FAU’s Boca Raton campus the afternoon of Tuesday, March 20.

In order to provide for the safety of all concerned, the student had to be physically removed from the classroom by two FAU employees. The FAU Police Department escorted the student off of campus property and transported her to a local hospital for examination in accordance with Florida's Baker Act.

In light of today’s information, the Dean of Students is taking immediate action regarding this student.

The health, safety and welfare of FAU students, faculty and staff are of utmost importance. To that end, the FAU Police Department and the Division of Student Affairs continues to do all it can to ensure a safe environment for the FAU campus community.

Charles Brown, Ph.D.

Vice President of Student Affairs at FAU

I'll be curious to see what she is charged with (in terms of criminal offenses) from this incident. Off the top of my head, I'd think all these are potentially applicable:

- Assault

- Menacing

- Disorderly Conduct

- Inducing Panic

Also, by psychiatric evaluation, they probably have her on some kind of 72-hour hold. During that time, they'll determine if she is legitimately ill psychiatrically and in need of hospitalization.

They will probably say she is crazy and she wont get any charges

Well, technically, it doesn't work like that. She still gets charged, and then the extent to which she is "crazy" - and how that impacts the legal proceedings - is determined at a later date.

All kinds of legitimately mentally ill individuals are charged with crimes all the time. Sometimes, they're so psychiatrically ill that they are never competent to stand trial - and, as a result, they cannot be prosecuted and their crimes are (usually) dismissed. We won't know if that is the case here until sometime later.
