2highpsi
Took a break from trying to sort out the blower and suspension problems to clean the car up and mount the rims I picked up on here. The car blew a coolant hose at the track day and covered everything in antifreeze. It was a bitch to get off to say the least. I'm pretty happy with how she looks now though. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/1f7cf87a.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/469edf51.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/18ec7b5a.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/72b81753.jpg What I took off. 2highpsi
Looks good, hopefully I can find a good deal on one before summer. I've been keeping my eyes peeled for you. It seems like they have actually gone up in price over the last year or two. I have caught a couple good deals on svtperformance, but both were swallowed up by the time I found them. Actually if I could find a deal on one in Sonic Blue, I'll put this one back to stock and sell it.

DKilbourne
What's the issue with the blower?
2highpsi
What's the issue with the blower? I can't make full boost under a hard load. It's like its slipping the belt. In second gear I can make 15-16lbs. In fourth it only makes like 10 lbs. I already have a Reichard Racing auxilary pulley, and I have changed the belt. But it's just one from NAPA. I'm going to get a Gates or gatorback next, and a new tensioner. I hope that fixes it

2highpsi
Have you messed with the bypass at all? When I got the car, it had the bypass mod done. The solenoid isn't even hooked up. But I suppose if there is a vacuum issue, it could still be bleeding off

A lot of the people doing that seem to complain about it not working properly after they do it. Car looks good with those wheels too! 04SVT
Looks great Jordan!!! Got to thinking about the boost issue. Did you say you had the heads ported? I wonder if its just flowing so much air that it can't build the boost?

I wonder if its just flowing so much air that it can't build the boost? Thanks Mark! The heads are ported, but 10 lbs on a 2.8 upper / 2lb lower combo?? Plus it makes the boost it should in second gear.

I never had slippage with a gatorback belt, 2.76 upper, billetflow suregrip pulley, and the snub idler. Check your belt tensioner as well, to see if the spring is bottomed out. My car has had a napa belt for 5 years and 11k miles on my whippled cobra and sees 18psi. Wheels look good. I may part with my 19k whippled/auto/solid rear cobra if I decide to get a new ford. We'll see.
