justinm001
So I've had this 2000 Audi A6 2.7T forever and its an amazing car. A few years ago it was in an accident and I replaced most parts and was able to drive the car for about 6 months until boost leak. Upgraded turbos to K04's and control arms. Still have boost issues and a few more minor issues, and need a bumper, hood and painted. Its taken me a couple years to get it all setup and I've lost interest. Not sure if I should spend the time/money to finish, sell, or part it out. Any suggestions would be great
mjrsplat
pics? From the sounds of it I'd just sell it.
IVRINGS
I would say part it only cause I want the K04's... It would be nice to get it all done too.
STEVE-O
pics? and i would say sell it to me ... or hit me up if ou want to paint it. I will tell you though the a6 market is flodded and everyone is trying to get rid of them and the prices keep dropping and they are not selling. So if you ahve a lot of time invested and money I would hold ono it

I believe I spent around 2K in parts to fix it, then 1500 for turbos and 300 in control arms. I don't have time to really part it out or fix it. justinm001
btw, it's red with black leather. Fenders were just replaced which is why it looks black.
IVRINGS
Stevio if you get this I need those turbos!
justinm001
I also have my stock turbo's still. Car has 135k miles I believe K04's have like 3miles maybe
Green Bastard
if the issues your decribing are in fact minor and you know exactly what they are, i would just hold onto it and fix it. get it roadworthy first, then worry about cosmetics. Mr. Jones
RPK04's ? BW K04's? For $1500, they are either new RP's or used BW's
STEVE-O
I've seen this car sale on cl. Again best bet is to fix it and drive it or you will have to sell it at a HUGE loss
justinm001
They're not BW, not sure of the kind. Turbos were like 1200 and inlet piping kit was 300.
IVRINGS
Then never mind about the turbos... :lolguy: BW or bust!
justinm001
BW and BW replicas are identical, just not the name. Did need to rotate the housing a bit for perfect fit. I had them checked out from a client company that makes massive turbos and compared all the specs and tested.
IVRINGS
If you are putting BW cores into BW replicas then I'm cool with it. I've thought about buying blown ones and doing the BB centers. Edited May 20, 2012 by IV RINGS
CRed05
I'd probably finish it. The Chinese k04's can be hit or miss. Boost creep was an issue with a lot of those due to the wastegate ports not being big enough.
