Off To Hawaii For 10 Days...

Me and the wife are leaving tomorrow morning for Oahu for the next 10 days. Staying with a friend of mine who I was in the Air Force with for the first three days, then renting a house on the North Shore with my brother and his wife for the next seven days. Gonna do the Hawaii Shark Encounters, do some snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding, and Pearl Harbor while I'm there. Should be a good time, as I've never been, but hear good things...

Wear shoes when swimming/snorkeling or you might get really bad cuts in your foot like I did. Other then that the place is fucking awesome. If you are going to the big island and like cliff jumping into the water I know an awesome place...

I've got nice fins and a mask for the snorkeling. I did this in Aruba four years ago as well...

I just drank when I went to aruba and drove around the island. Was walking on the beach one night with a 4 beers in my pockets and 1 in each hand. Was approached by the resort's security also with a German Shepard. After I told them the resort I was saying at they let me on my way. They said they were doing security sweeps because of that girl that got abducted and killed. It was a great time would go again to both places :megusta:

I loved Aruba. It's a "desert island" though, not a "tropical island" like Hawaii and most of the Caribbean is. I spend probably 90% of my time in the water, so I'll be doing much of the same on this vacation. The wife and I were thinking of going back to Aruba next year, as it's just far closer, cheaper, and has casinos to gamble in... :)

The casinos in Niagara Falls were better then Aruba IMO. Now this was many years ago so they may have changed. I wasn't impressed but good luck. I hope you win big.

They are for sure, however Niagara Falls doesn't have the weather, beaches, snorkeling, etc... :)

You get can get those at krogers...

It is not the same.

I hate to agree with Jeffro, since he is mentally incompetent, but he's right. There is a ton of fruit there you simply can't get here, that's way better than pineapple. I feel in love with the apple bananas and rambutan's there. We were on the big island and Maui at the end of March into the beginning of April. We stayed in condo's and went to fish markets/farmers markets just about every day to get food to eat/cook at our place.

Have a good time man! It's a fun time for sure. Who knows, maybe in nine months you'll have another little one being announced :)

If there's one thing I can guarantee, it's that this won't happen...

Hanauma Bay is one of the best places to snorkel, go on a weekday as a weekend is stupid crowded. Laie Point(Forgetting Sarah Marshall movie went there) is worth checking out, I lived on the point for almost a year.

I remember the best beach being imo Waimanalo Beach, sports illustrated shoots there a lot, not a lot of tourists.

Make want to stay away from Makaha(West side), rough water and not all tourist friendly.

Diamond head is a good hike and worth a look and some other inland trails near there on the windward side of the island.
