wtb: cheap .22

I'm thinking of the registration of the gun, or however the serial numbee is linked to the owner. I'm not good with gun laws and such. I bought the gun when I was 18 just cause I could. I've shot it a few times, probably less than 100 rounds through the gun ever. I just never knew the laws for gun registration and was worried about selling a gun that is in my name without knowing how to.

There is no gun registration in ohio. How many times does this have to be posted here?

THANK YOU

Gabe, if you want to borrow something I've got a Savage .17HMR tackdriver that, well, isn't all that loud. It's not for sale though.

For a good "cheap" .22 look for a Marlin 60 or Gleenfield 60 on armslist.com or Gunbroker or where ever else. I have one that was my grandfathers and is 50-60 years old. I cleaned it up and have never had a jam. Only issue is the bolt doesn't lock back on last shot.

I know you can find these for about $100-$125 used.

Looks very similar to mine with all the toys:

Agreed. Between my father and myself we own 3 Marlin .22s without a problem from any of them.

my apologies. I tend to stay out of the gun section as I know nothing about them. just saw a wtb ad and my gun fit the bill. i just want to make sure things are done the proper way if I get rid of it.

Feel free to read the stickies in this section, I put a lot of time into those.

I just was at "The Gun Store" in Old Hilliard. They had a few Marlins in there. Used at $125 and newer models at $150. The newer ones are pretty much the same, except are magazine feed not tube feed like the older 60. Mine is tube feed, I love it. 17+1 compared to the 10+1 Magazines for them. If you are planing on taking out a whole herd of zombie squirrels and racoons I may suggest a Ruger 10/22... they sell hi-cap mags for them.
