2013 Camaro coming to NASCAR

As far as brand identity goes, Nascar is headed in the right direction. Each manufacturer has developed a new style car next year which actually resembles the production cars. Every decade the cars seem to look less "stock" especially since the new style car debuted five yeas ago. Nascar is learning from their mistakes and has made an effort to give the four brands some character.

The Nationwide cars still have a long way to go, but the Cup cars for next year are looking good especially the Charger and Fusion.

The only problem is that Dodge hasn't found anyone to drive for them next year. They only have one full-time team this year (the two Penske teams) and they are switching to Ford next year.

The 2013 Nascar Fusion looks just as good as the Charger. The Camry looks, well, like a Camry (more like the real car though). Chevy hasn't unveiled their new car yet (the "SS") but there's no doubt it will look better than the Impala they have been racing.

that charger looks good for nascar

You realize thats a prototype?

It will NEVER see that much of an opening for cooling when its done. 200+mph with that opening=airborne!! The final car will be more like the nationwide series I'm sure.

But yes, good looking car.

Robby Gordon.

NVM...your right.

Prototype? No, that's the new template already approved by Nascar. As far as the grille opening is concerned, look closer...

And regardless of the car's styling, they will always have different grille openings depending on the track

Fair enough. The proto was similar and had black mesh, but that was a few months ago. Id like to see the wind tunnel results for all of them.

I'm hoping the Dodge camp can get with Petty or someone. It would be a shame if Dodge didn't have any representation next year.

Robby Gordon might be done with Nascar completely. Last I heard he was starting some kind of offroad racing association.

The Fusion is much improved too...
