2pointslow
Where do you buy your mre's and what are some good choices?
dover
You can go to most military stores and pick them but anything with chicken is good stay away from vegi anything, beef stew is good, and chili Mac. I use to be able to get boxes for free but new supply guy :-/
Not Brian
oh man a wave of delicious memories just hit my nostalgia nerve. Meat loaf and four fingers of death (hotdogs) were my favorites, with jalapeno cheese spread on some crackers.. man. Whatever you do don't eat the charms though, they're bad luck. Hahn
Chili Mac and Chili & beans. 2 best MRES and eating cold is probably even better with those 2. Pretty much the only 2 MREs ive eaten over here.
SRTurbo04
Tuna was good, chili mac ,
Drewhop
Mil surplus stores usually have them. But they are getting pretty pricey now unless you got a "hook up" 6-7 dollar range per is what most stores are charging. Which is ignorant in my book. Mountain house makes some decent stuff. You can test out and buy it at the local wally worlds.
KennyFKINPowerz
Do they still have the oat bars in some of them? Those things will clog you up for a week.

timmy43016
we never had all those fun flavors. We were stuck with the beef stew and spaghetti. The pound cake rocked though... Do yourself a favor and never use those damn heat tabs while in a hootch...like the freakin gas chamber all over again.
twistedfocus1647545489
The pound cake rocked though I have heard this from many people but have yet to try it, even though I loves me some cake. CTD had a pretty good deal on boxes of MRE pound cake (just the cakes) recently. Incidentally, CTD = Cheaper than Dirt, not that Covert Tuning Dynamics gayness. Edit: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/MRE-264 I think they were cheaper before, but they're still only about .60 per cake.
macpyro2
Tuna is my favorite, chili mac a close second. Also the dry powder milkshakes, those where fucking awesome. Im pretty sure they gave people cancer or something and they stopped making them.
Skinner
the dehydrated fruit cocktail was awesome.
87GT
Are you looking for MREs just to eat or you looking for long term disaster food cache?

Dharris89
Emergency essentials is another good place. Their website is beprepared.com. They used to even give free samples. They have both mre's and long term food storage.

Murse
Never had tuna and would have stayed away from it had I not just read some of you guys like it. Tuna mre just doesn't sound like they should go together. But now I'll have to try it. Mres at the military surplus are getting expensive, but I say that cuz I remember picking them up at the BX At wright-patterson for $1 when I was stationed there. CLICKY  KillJoy Stock up on Ramen Noodles, Tuna in a pouch, other meats in a pouch, Uncle Ben's Rice and nasty Rolled Oats. KillJoy All of this. Wise is fine if you don't mind eating soy and genetically modified food. In a disaster it really doesn't matter as long as you can eat. I also have on stock many random cans of vegetables, ramen noodles, tuna cans in water, pineapples in 100% juice, and oatmeal. These will not keep as long as the Wise buckets but they come in useful since AEP SUCKS FUCKING DICK AND WON'T BURY MY POWER LINES. Nothing like warming up water outside over a fire for noodles and eating canned goods. PS Fuck you AEP.
