mrs.cos
My dad is a tool and die maker, and has been relegated to a fork truck at a GM plant in dayton for a couple years now. It looks like the union is gonna do him a solid and force him to move either to lordstown or arlington texas AND lose all of his seniority. (way to go UAW on sticking to helping your people! :fuckyeah: ) I would love to have my dad in columbus with me, does anyone know of any machine shops who still use tool and die makers? mrtbolt64
depends if he wants to work for 15 bucks an hour or not. For machining, columbus sucks ass
mrs.cos
it pretty much does anywhere anymore. Dayton used to be the tool and die capitol of the country.. now .. its a shithole.
Limitedslip7
Does he have a Journeyman card? Whirlpool here in Marion just recently had some direct hire open positions for them. Only pays ~$25/hr, but there is usually plenty of overtime available from what I understand...
