Halloween Time

We had a Christmas decoration thread, how about some Halloween ones. I personally love Halloween. I made this entrance to my driveway the past 3 weeks. It is 11' tall and 14' wide. I wired a florescent light starter ($1) on the hot lead for each light on the towers, so they flicker constantly giving the illusion of a bad connection. Picked up the house lights from Habitat for Humanity ($10 total). I am in all this for about $230 plus my time, but it was fun to make:

I started with a 2x3 frame:

And covered it with foam. Then I sprinkled water on it and hit it with a torch, where there is no water it melts creating a rock texture as seen next to me:

I carved out some tombstones and painted them up:

Made 40' of fence from 2x6 ripped into 4 pieces and 1/2" conduit pipe:

Took two random containers from the recycle center and added lights to them, hazard stickers and spray foam, for a toxic mess:

Impressive!

We had a house on our street years back that went all out, gave tours, etc. and every year got tons of people going through. Perry township had to have police direct traffic even.

You should add a fog machine, some sound and some dead bodies and be the neighborhood PIA :)

IT survived the 45mph gust wind storms we had last Sunday and all the rain too. It is pretty environmentally sound. I also drew it up in Google Sketch up before I built it.
