Buckeye1647545503
I would just use the stock axles maybe buy some c-clip eliminators, the car is so light I doubt it needs more than that. (Mine weighs more and has that setup )

Cordell
Having never used c-clip eliminators, I really like the idea of using the 9" housing ends and bearings. Seems like it would be a much easier set-up to deal with and rebuild later.
Buckeye1647545503
I have never used them personally so I don't know if they leak. Mine is a disc so I am just rolling with that. 8.8 28 spline puts up with a fair amount a abuse so 31's in a light car should be fine but other will chime in I am sure
Buckeye1647545503
Also that things weighs 2700? I haven't weighed mine but they are said to be 2800
DKilbourne
9 inch ends. Less likely to leak.
PsychoticGaming
A 9" is probably the best option, a 60 is nice but heavier so not really justifiable. C-clip eliminators are notorious for leaking (mainly on street driven cars) but you could go that route and change seals every so often. Might come down to how much power your actually making and only buying what you need, granted anything can be broken......
NHRATA
I'm happy with the 9" in my ride . I only broke one case in 15 years
hpfiend
Thanks all... well I dropped it off last week with Gary. Went for the 9" ends and axles in the 31 spline big tube explorer 8.8, welded tubes, and narrowed to my measurements. Putting the ford carbon fiber clutch pak in the trak lok myself and should be good to go- at least good enough to try the 3.73 ratio out in the quarter... that is after I get it in there... 550-650 rwhp in a ~2700 lb automatic vehicle without a transbrake on 10.5 tires. Probably could have skated by on two short factory axles and caliper brackets as my axle retention device but better safe than sorry and I would rather only do this once. I'm assuming Gary over at Babbit?
