Anyone see the rolls of black smoke on the east side? I did, and I had my camera with me. So I found the house and took some photos.

We yelled to firefighter that he had a fire above him... He pulled the ceiling down and when the air got in there it blew out the window and curtains

Dang, was it right by you?

I take it nobody was hurt?

Crazy pictures.

No idea on If anyone was hurt. It was about a mile or so from my house though. I saw the smoke from 70E and got gas, then found the house.

Sad to see someone Lose everything they own.

Things to watch out for (and which I just had to ping people about here at the office)

- Extension cords plugged into extension cords. Long wire runs mean heat and every connection is another point of potential arcing and failure. This includes "heavy duty" versions!

- Heaters plugged into extension cords or power strips. Not only do you have the arc potential of multiple connection points (previous point), but all too often, people use stupid little 18AWG cords meant for Christmas trees and table lamps, and those WILL heat up something wicked when loaded with a 1000W floor heater.
