Forrest Gump 9
A girl at work ask me to help her find a car. Criteria are Four door Automatic transmission Preferably compact (Asian female driver) And $7000 budget I tried to look on Craigslist and autotrader but only find imports with 150k + miles and American made but full size sedans. ForeverMaker
Hmm Asian driver jokes aside... she is going to need something safe... Buy my A6 Avant for $4800. AWD, new tires, new battery, leather, auto... Edited May 7, 2013 by ForeverMaker added pic
Cordell
Mazda3 Honda Civic something like that, at least the Japanese don't make their small cars quite as cheaply as their Cobalt and Focus counterparts. Seems like with a $7k budget there should be a some decent examples of smaller cars.

Bam
Focus. Seriously. Probably best bang for the buck. $7k should find a nice one.

At 80,000 miles, it was as strong as day 1.

Turbs3000
Obviously it doesn't meet the 4 door part but we have a coupe 2001 accord that's about to go up for sale in the next few weeks.

1fast5gp
2005 TSX 132k miles?
Forrest Gump 9
Camry. That would fit the bill, but like I said earlier the miles are crazy. 2005 TSX 132k miles? Tsx would be nice.
Turbs3000
Few too many trucks? Haha exactly, Mike wants one so if he's going to get one his accord has got to go.
WrxRcr
I vote for the civic, parts are cheap, insurance is cheap.
ForeverMaker
How many miles? And what engine? 2.8L 30v 175k Honestly if she is looking for a compact/import then she probably won't like this.

Got-Boost?
I'd say an E46 BMW that is in good condition with a documented and maintained maintenance record... Great cars for the price, safety, insurance, etc...etc..
greg1647545532
I can't imagine a more boring appliance, but something like this: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=107300570 $7k, 70k miles, 2007. Xyster101
First off an Audi with 175k is not reliable, plus it weighs 2 tons. E46 is RWD, (does it have traction control?) not good for someone learning IMO. Plus she is a high schooler and will dent a pretty car. Suzuki SX4 $4k Nissan Maxima 06 Scion TC 06 w/ Salvage title, perfect for her, comes pre-wrecked!
Forrest Gump 9
Lol, thank guys! she bought a civic already. It's an '00 with 98k miles.
