DaddyBuiltRacing
Went and picked up the Hotwheels wagon today and started putting it together. I also picked up the fabric for the seat pad, all that's left is stickers, wheels and side pipes. http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/149394_10152860815631907_3309749990822936748_n_zps63ca9294.jpg Really good shots to show all the metallic in the colors http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/1690097_10152860815401907_3028491306273858376_n_zpsa3798539.jpg http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/10301368_10152860815531907_5788320849233775400_n_zps10c2650d.jpg http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/10645307_10152860815751907_2879223693648397907_n_zps662cdca1.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
I got to work on the wagons tonight and got them both close to being finished. The "double trouble" wagon just needs stickers and the seat cushion to be finished. The wheels are going to stay white per the customers request. http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/10468113_10152871737461907_7180933556383291357_n_zps889e2752.jpg The Hotwheels wagon just needs stickers and the side pipes finished before it can go off to it's new owner. I felt like a hotwheels wagon needs chrome and since chrome is not cheap, I found a good alternative...chrome powder coat. I think it looks pretty cool for what it is. http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/10420399_10152871700886907_5471415972231696182_n_zps8b95a5d7.jpg http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/10345536_10152871700826907_2641288626135714057_n_zps84ff2db9.jpg Edited November 14, 2014 by DaddyBuiltRacing

DaddyBuiltRacing
No clue lol. I am kinda bummed out, I had a military themed wagon lined up and at the last minute the kid backed out. Oh well, maybe one day someone will want one military themed and I will be able to use the design then.
DaddyBuiltRacing
I have the hot wheels wagon just about wrapped up finally. Got the stickers and put those on today, all that is left is the side pipes and then it's off and ready for Christmas. http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/10502372_10152899265421907_292207378975007807_n_zps473b53f6.jpg

DaddyBuiltRacing
Thanks! I am hoping to have the teal one finished up soon, just gotta wait on the customer to give me some money so I can get the stickers designed up and made. After that I am not sure when I am going to build another one, I was hoping more people would want them done for Christmas but that wasn't the case. Maybe people will want them after Christmas in preparation of spring/summer.
DaddyBuiltRacing
Lighting wasn't the best today, but I snapped a few pictures of the wagon outside http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/P1030519_zpse935c6ef.jpg http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/P1030520_zpsf6d30574.jpg http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/P1030524_zpsbfb7eb29.jpg http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/P1030523_zpse5996af7.jpg Before and after http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy218/guy_from_nerk/Wagon%20Builds/10409064_10152927945641907_674585935969742030_n_zps89cb0ffe.jpg I have the teal one to finish up still (just needs stickers and seat) and then I have another girls wagon to build after the 1st of the year. Not real sure what theme that one is going to get just yet, hopefully something cool and challenging.

DaddyBuiltRacing
Haha, I always have wagons on hand and ready to go. Enjoy the kid man, the cliché statement of "time goes by so fast" is so true! I look at my son who is now 4 and wonder where the time went. DaddyBuiltRacing
Thank you sir!! As some of you may or may not know, my wife and I are expecting a set of twins in November. We are having a boy and a girl this time around. Both my wife and I are huge baseball fans, as is our 5 year old son, so hopefully the next son is as well because he is getting a baseball themed wagon haha. The coolest part about this build in my opinion is I am going to be using the ball bat I used as a kid on it. I am going to mill the sides of the bat down to fit in the stock radio flyer axle assembly and use it as the handle. I will strip and restain the bat, but leave all the knicks from hitting baseballs in it. By the time this wagon is done, it will scream baseball http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/11796199_10153552348426907_4768446098014680932_n_zps1mr4xpak.jpg

DaddyBuiltRacing
That's a good deal really. I am trying to find a wagon for our daughter, but since I don't have a theme in mind, I want a unique style wagon. Really want an old Mercury or another Radio Rancher for her. DaddyBuiltRacing
Tinkered around today with my sons wagon. Got all the suspension mounted up and tightened up. Next on the list is buy wheels, mount ball bats for the side rails and work on the handle http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/11891090_10153593755686907_591410063306134460_n_zpsdcyj3i7q.jpg
DaddyBuiltRacing
It's been a while since I touched a wagon, luckily last weekend it was pretty decent outside and I had a free moment to breathe. I decided it was time to tinker around on this thing and get it as close to finished as I can, so I can start on my daughters. The first thing I had to do was figure out how to make the baseball bat fit inside the stock wagon handle fork. After some time looking and brain storming, it dawned on me that I have a grinding wheel in my garage, so I went to work. After about an hour of rolling the bat back and forth over the wheel, I had ground down enough to make it clear the space. I had a baseball bat handle!! The next thing on the list was to build a home plate back rest. This was pretty simple, I just used cardboard for a template, then traced on to some wood. I am planning on using a glue stick and some dirt from local ball park to make it look like a dirty home plate. Next to do was wheels/tires, I went with the off road style since we plan on pulling this around the ball park while our oldest plays games this summer and in future years. All that really remains to be done is the seat cushion, stickers and miniature bats for side rails. I may do a couple more things after that, but they are still ideas that are just being tossed around. Anyways, here's a recent picture http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p81/alittlelessordinary/bryce%20wagon_zpsc1tgxjhv.jpg Edited February 12, 2016 by DaddyBuiltRacing
Otis Nice
Looks good man. If you could get "home plate" dirty with dirt form a legit stadium it'd be even better IMO. Either way, great work.
DaddyBuiltRacing
You know, last year they had kids run the bases day in Cleveland. We are huge Indians and Cubs fans, I told my wife I was gonna take our oldest, give him a baggy and have him grab some. I may email them and see if they'll donate some, the worst they can tell me is no haha
