XChris1632X
Looking to swap my 2004 9.9hp merc for a 1994 40hp merc on my fishing boat. I found one fir a good deal and I need to find out what it will take to make the swap. I have been told that most plug right up, I don't know about 10 year different engines though. wnaplay1647545503
You just want to swap one outboard for another? If it fits , you may have to replace cables to make it work but what exactly are you wanting to figure out? What does the coast guard specification plate sstate about size requirements? XChris1632X
It will take up to a 60. I'm more concerned with steering linkage and wiring harness. With the new mercury engines I am in the understanding that it is a simple plug that is universal to all motors.
