I need some very small (1/2 inch copper) water pipe fixed. Sooner the better if anyone on here can do it lmk. XChris1632X Posted June 23, 2014 Report Share Posted June 23, 2014 Then they aren't seated correctly. Other than freezing, the only time I have seen a new shark bite leak is when installed wrong. Make sure not to cut the o ring when installing and move it around as you push to get it to seat all the way. If you aren't sure, hold the fitting up to the pipe and Mark the full engagement spot before installing. The. You will know when it is on all the way. Its tricky until you realize how far they go til they actually bite. If they leak push til they bottom out or take off and try again.
