I have obtained a 1981 Toyota corolla wagon 4 door. Car is straight and sound. Has no motor or trans. Everything else is there. Has good wheels and tires. 7.5 S10 rear end. Not sure on the gear.

It has no trans in it at all, also you can swap many motors into this chassis. Google is your friend

Google is just enough information to be dangerous. I actually tried to run this down when I first saw the CL ad last week, but I can't even find a consensus as to whether T series and A series engine mounts are compatible.

Asking whether it has a MT or an auto, I guess what I am really asking is does it have a clutch pedal assembly and all the other bits that go along with that (console, etc) or not. Seeing that the rear is swapped means I have to ask about the driveshaft (is it there?).

I've been looking for a 70's/80's jap wagon with a manual trans, but really wasn't looking for a project. This body looks so clean it is hard not to consider, but again I am not looking to put a v8, or a 1jz, or anything radical into it - trying to see if it is even feasible to just get a donor car and get it running and just use it for hauling the kid to cars and coffee and otherwise around town.

but thanks. your post has been...something

Geeto, it's a T-series car. I have the motor and auto trans for it if you really want it. Sam bought this off me and I ended up using it for the manual swap that it had. Drive shaft is here with me, but it would need the end modified for the auto trans since it was originally on the manual car.

Anyone would be dumb to pass this deal up, most rollers like these go for a couple grand in this condition, and nowhere near this region.... Just sayin.
