I started doing that b/c the Mrs. was self-employed and we needed some cash for year-end tax bills. Now, it's just nice to get the big check each March. It lines up with the work bonus. I made a few new years resolutions, two of them were to pay off whatever credit card debt I have left and double my savings account. This will give a step in the right direction for both.
