99StockGT
Much want? Or meh? http://jalopnik.com/2016-ford-mustang-shelby-gt350-starts-at-47-870-1707011604
Franchi
Much want! Just not with 15k dealer markup... But honestly, the base 350 is lower then I was expecting, thought it would start in the middle to high fifties.
99StockGT
Even with the bump up to the GT350R that's not a terrible price for what the thing is likely capable of versus similar segment cars..
Forrest Gump 9
Forgive my ignorant, but why would anyone buy the GT350 when there's a GT500? The price point is good, but not good enough for me to not buy a GT500 instead.
99StockGT
GT500 is dead in this generation GT350 is more built for running around corners and such things than the straight line speed of the GT500
Aaron
Wasn't this pricing available months ago? I guess its about 5k cheaper than the information leaked months and months ago.
99StockGT
That's the big surprise that it's gone DOWN in price versus up which is your more typical situation. Those prices don't put it out of the "attainable" range for many blue collar workin' types

Geeto67
The Mustang6G folks tell us “Package Code 900A/920A” is the GT305R configuration, which turns the new Mustang into what Ford calls; “a no-compromise car in the pursuit of maximum track capability.” Does it come with racing harnesses? Track Prepped? Safety wired? Sounds like a street car to me. I get that I am just being a pedantic wonk because the original 1965 GT350 came "race prepped" with a lot of these things (plus functional air extractors, overrider traction bars, and other things the new car probably does have). And not that I object to toy cars at all, just wondering what racing opportunities for this car as a track weapon there are beyond track days and bracket drag strip passes. Back in the day there weren't opportunities to get your car out on a track unless you went full fledged racing. Today high performance drivers education events are a popular way to take your street car to the track and exercise it in a controlled environment without some of the risks of racing. None of these cars are meant to be "race cars" you would go enter in the Trans-Am race next weekend.
Not Brian
Pretty awesome car, affordable too. I'd rather have a 13-14 GT500 for street (ab)use, but that's comparing used to new..
Got-Boost?
I don't see any problems with it. For price and new car options to have fun with and track, it's one of the best options. Of course if you're a crazy tracker you probably won't buy a new car to track but still a fun street/track/weekend car to have. If you plan to drag race, you probably wouldn't buy it anyway. This is the reason I won't get rid of my Cobra for a long time. Still a formidable street car at far less the cost of something new...
Versluis
The sounds the GT350R makes is incredible.
Orion
The only gearbox on the GT350 will be a six-speed Tremec manual. You will shift the gears yourself because you are not a coward. YES. Fucking thank you, Ford.
Draco-REX
Why Ford? Why are you making cars now that are so enticing? I've had such bad luck with domestics, but you keep trying to pull me back in!
