Been out of the bike seen for a VERY long time and after seeing these around town I just had to get one. I'd post pics, but right now its just a bone stock white 15 with temp tags so nothing you haven't seen. I have a ton of mods planned so I'll update as that happens.

When I was at Indy for the MotoGP this weekend there was a pack of Groms rolling around downtown during the bike show. they would stop at a light and then one or two of them would do a smokey burnout and then they would all laugh. rinse. repeat. It was hilarious to see in person but my buddy summed it up best when she saw them doing a triple burnout a said "what a bunch of dorks".

I personally like the grom. I like even more that there is a class for racing groms in several different road racing organizations. Even WERA has a class for them which means grom racing at Mid-Ohio.

I like the grom, heck of a lot more usable than the old honda Trail-70s

So I made a couple changes yesterday. After looking at all the custom parts for this bike I decided that for now I would just see how far I can go "on the cheap". I think in the next year or so prices will come down even more as companies compete and make better products. So, I cut up the stock exhaust and removed the back half containing the baffle, basically removed the back half of the exhaust then moved the tip back to the remaining part to keep the stock look. I also cut up and bent the license bracket and relocated the turn signals from the rear fender. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Stock exhaust (notice how long it is) and rear fender.

Cheap mods (that deliver in apperance and performance) are the best mods. :)

Cheap as in $0 so far. There is a cat in the header pipe on these and upgrading the header really wakes them up. My plan is to carefully cut the header pipe in half, remove the cat internals and then weld it back together.
