Aaron
nobody does hatches like vw theres what, an extra 2 cubic feet back there due to that hatch/glass rake? I'd still take it over the sedan though, so there's that.

Geeto67
Can't be as bad as their other attempts right? http://media.caranddriver.com/images/media/51/2004-chevrolet-malibu-maxx-embed-1-photo-351021-s-original.jpg Aw man, I always dug the uber rare Malibu Maxx SS http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200608/2007-chevrolet-malibu-max_600x0w.jpg had a co-worker that had a sliver one, it wasn't a rocket ship but it was "fun" for a kid hauler from the mid-2000s. only mistake they ever made was not offering them in stick. I think they made maybe 4000 total between 2006 and 2007 so talk about a bargain rare performance car if you can find one. New hatch looks good. Hopefully it will get an SS version with a proper three pedals to make it a real focus competitor.
MattKatz
I like the Regular Cruze....My brother has one and I borrowed it for a trip to Florida. Great driving little car that gets good gas mileage. His is an LTZ so it was leather and loaded....and as long as you don't want to go fast it would suit you just fine. This hatch looks pretty good....but I'm a hatchback Fan.

I'm with you on the SS maxx being decent and definitely could have used a stick, but the base maxx sucked. +1 on a SS model. i remember when this image was in Motor Trend. Peaked my interest but it never came to be. http://st.motortrend.com/uploads/sites/5/2010/02/chevrolet-cruze-ss-illustration-front.jpg
POS VETT
I'd rather have the Chevette.
Cordell
Too bad it won't be on par with it's competition. Just a sloppy, slow turd without a trunk lid. I have driven many Cruzes, and none of them have made me even think seriously about buying one.

Its pretty bad when the concept looks terrible, besides Chevrolet already has the awesome Sonic hatchback and you can get the "RS" package to get the high performance ground effects. :lolguy:
