Pocket Rocket Gets the Business

Many of us know Nickey's S-10 but he also has hopped up little hatch that was in need of a good clean up and Ceramic Coating to prepare it for winter. He also opted for a ceramic glass coating as the windows were in even greater need of a clean up and having the ability to shed water and snow will most certainly help visibility which is a must given the dark tint.

Overall the clear/paint wasn't horrible but had it's fair share of soft cloth auto-car washes and they took their toll in the form of scratches and light swirls. being white it was also loaded with contaminants that began to show through as rust spots in the clear coat.

The process began with a rinseless wash pre-soak since the weather has chilled and I'm not about to wash a car in the cold. I also decontaminated it with Iron-X and used the hot & cold water in the garage to rinse it clean.

For those that have asked, I fold my Eagle Edgeless into sections of either 8 or 16 clean surfaces as shown here. Two swipes on each section allows for 16 to 32 fresh towel passes per. In other words, much safer than a traditional two bucket wash and offers the ability to wash an entire car like this with 4-5 towels.

Thanks again to Nickey for trusting in my work.

Thanks again Tim! It turned out great, I cant wait to see what you do with my S10 in spring.

Anytime my friend. You'll have to take me for a spin in the ST as with the exhaust, intake and Cobb Monitor, I have a feeling you have yours far from stock power :)

Enjoy!
