He has narrowed it down to either a Foxbody or SN95 mustang, would love to get a 72 Nova but can't find decent ones in his price range. Price range is 10 grand max. From what I looked at, SN95s are hitting bottom-dollar from a depreciation standpoint. Might be a good time to buy. They are just too old at this point. The SN95 seems like the value, but if it were me I would want a cobra, bullett, or a mach 1. When she got into Duke her parents bought her one...then she got knocked up (not by me). It's a mustang, I'm pretty sure you can fix it with a rock and a sharpened stick, and junkyards are groaning with parts for them. I see a lot of them with 140K miles and some with 200K miles - they use almost the same drive train in million mile NYC cabs and town cars - they are durable. You could definitely find a nice F-Body under $10k. You can't really only want to spend $10k and get something "fun" that also has lower miles. Less then 100k, has a PI motor swapped in to it with all the basic bolt on's, he has factory terminator anniversary wheels on it, super sharp car. I can send you his info if you'd like.
