Most likely return for the Purdue game, but probably hoping to have him back sooner. I would bet he plays a few snaps against Purdue then rests until Nebraska in November.

While Bosa is the best player in CFB, the remainder of the d-line is very good. Without him OSU probably goes from the best D-line to the 3rd or 4th best d-line.

It just bums me out because damn is he fun to watch

Am i the only one who is dissapointed we havent seen tOSU's full potential yet? Feel like even with TCU we played it soft after the third. Hopefully next week we get to see our guys go Wide Open all 4 quarters

I don't know. I agree I want to see them go all out for 4 quarters but it's a nice feeling not having a season like 2002 where every game was won on the last drive too. I want excitement but I don't need mild heart attacks every saturday.

...maybe every other.

Imagine being a 'Bama fan the last couple of years. NEVER get to see your first team play 4 quarters since they never play anyone good.

Bosa being out till Nov is going to hurt. Hopefully he gets healthy for late season.

Wouldn't be surprised if he just sits out the rest of the year, why risk it for 2-3 games? I'd love to see him come back.

NFL teams will want to see that he's tested the injury post-surgery. It'd benefit him to come back and get some playing time against top competition. Otherwise, that injury will be an asterisk next to him name.

Disagree. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose. He can skip the season, skip the combine and skip pro day and his stock won't drop. He is that good. A sports hernia isnt like tearing an acl or some other major reconstructive surgery where you have to evaluate and see if you can regain top form. He just needs it to heal properly and won't be limited.

I had a sports hernia and total hernia of my right side in 2012. Fully recovered and not limited at all

Yeah, you also aren't getting hit in the gut every down either.

He's projected to be a top 2 pick. Guarantee that drops if he doesn't come back at all this season.

Nah. His injury is pretty much 99.9999% full recovery rate. The rumor is just that he had to have open surgery rather than laparoscopic, which is the worst for recovery.

If they did it open instead of laparoscopic, it also tells you that it wasn't just a simple hernia either. OSU has more than a few DiVinci robots lying around, so if it could have been done that way, I'm confident it would have.

Either way, I wish him the best. We will know when we know. I certainly wouldn't want him to rush recovery just because folks like us want OSU to win all the games. Though he is a HUGE part of the defense, he isn't the only part.

It's pretty damn selfish/arrogant to want him back just so we can brag about our team. I agree with you 100%. Kills me when people forget that these are all kids trying to make something of themselves. lol

He was sent to a specialist in Philadelphia. That right there is a confirmed major red flag

I would be surprised if he doesn't red shirt the season due to how bad he pulled up from the injury. Given the team would be better next year, no reason to rush into it.

That's like the one thing that isn't going to happen. He is going to go top 5 in the draft in 2019
