So David here on CR Picked up a beautiful 2000 Firebird Firehawk with 90k+ on the ODO and has babied it like a true fanatic would. This is one of the cleanest 17 yr old cars that's been enjoyed through it's life that I've come across. He's even had it up and cleaned under it. That said, even clean cars need the swirls removed and their paint corrected to really shine. Add in a nice layer of ceramic coating and that beauty will last and shine nicely for years to come.

From a budgetary standpoint we approached this with my Premium Enhancement Polish Service. For the protection he chose CarPro Cquartz v3.0 from the offerings I have. Other goodies were Full Glass Coating and restoration and Coating of the Trim/Cowling Area where the wipers/hood have taken a beating. I'll put up some better pics of that in the morning but it's solid black and like new once again and no more need to treat the wipers or cowling with anything for a while.

As you can see in the following, the swirls were pretty bad. Light and not too deep but rampant throughout the paint.

Notice the lower part of the rocker (top was polished)

Once Polished the color and depth really shows through nicely

Doors were both really bad too

The weather today was bad so hopefully morning will bring some sunshine for pics that show off the results better. Until then, here are a few.

The Tail lights polished out extremely well too. No more swirls in the plastic. Now they really pop!

Headers and a nice Corsa Exhaust really help make it sound as good as she looks. Video forthcoming.

Door Jambs and under the hood are as clean as when new

Being an f-body fanatic I love this car. The paint was probably the worst thing about it, and I’m pretty confident it cleaned up well. It should show well now

David- tweek those exhaust tips a little more and she’ll be perfect.

Agree on the paint in terms of how it was layed down from both the factory and SLP. It did clean up nicely though. The few remaining scratches aren't a huge deal. David wants to get the front clip and rocker skirts re-done which will help as the front has some spider cracks where someone bumped the nose or sat on it at some point.

Tim it looks great! With the Trans Am Nationals next weekend, I really wanted her to look her best and she ready does. It also saves me hours of time trying to do it myself and not getting anywhere close to the results. Thanks for also taking the time and explaining the care process now that it’s done.
