Lol, yeah, I need to get that. I just happened to switch to a special project working 10's at the airport right after you picked it up. Just taste it and tell me if it's worth a trip, lol.

If you're serious I'll use it for a review on the podcast. I won't open another mans bottle without express written permission. That ain't my style.

Lol, feel free. It's probably just going to be a bar ornament, as I'm not big on scotch but would like to try it.

Just don't lip it!! Lol

Thanks to Shaun we just recorded an episode and reviewed this. It will drop Tuesday at 9:00 PM and is available on the Podbean app, Spotify, Google Play, iTunes, and other places podcasts can be found.

NOTE: We are NOT professionals, we do NOT script our shows, we are NOT that good at what we do, we do NOT focus on reviews, and we do NOT gaf what anyone else thinks. We just record and talk about literally whatever is on our mind when we hit the record button. :) Just a couple of guys who enjoy good bourbon/whiskey.

I think we were about 30-40 mins in before we even got to the tasting.

at almost 100% corn you can tell this is obviously bourbon

 It's easy to make fun of that which you do not understand. :lolguy:

To catch everyone up if gergles doesn't believe a bourbon is a bourbon it's a whiskey. Doesn't matter what the literal law/definition says. If it's not a bourbon to gerg you're wrong and so is the label and the rules.

Friday fun...Weller Antique 107 (OWA) vs. Belle Meade Reserve (BMR).

Let me know who you think wins.

For me I'd go 107. Love that stuff. Loved it more when it was $25.

Sitting here sipping on water. May get something out. Thinking of opening a bottle of Pyrat or just enjoying a glass of wine which I never do.

Helping Prohibition bottle some of the best cocktails this city has to offer. Can purchase them to go with food orders!

I'm not. I get what I enjoy, can afford, etc. I'm fortunate to get to try many I'd never likely buy but the one thing about bourbon/whiskey is that if you enjoy what you're sipping on or sharing with friends that's the best one in that moment. You could have 1 bottle at a time or the world's largest collection. Doesn't mean a thing, IMHO, if it's not enjoyed.

...you could add one more bottle to yours. ;)

Bob, good to see you doing well. Any details on the offers from Prohibition? I didn’t see anything on their site as to what other cocktails/drinks might be available. Or is it just old fashioned?

I’ve been drifting back to Scotch lately in my whiskey drinking. My wife bought me a bottle of GlenLivet 18 as well as recently picked up GlenLivet 15 French Oak, GlenLivet Enigma, a couple of the GlenFiddich experimental series, and a solid Balvenie 12. All have been great but I think the most interesting has been the Enigma; check that out if you get the chance.

Here’s a drink list. You get to buy 2 drinks with each plate of food.

We def need to set up a whiskey night after all this. Bob and a few of you others, I'm not sure what I could bring that would be worth what you might share, but I can bring several.

I do have one not available here that I love. Maybe I'll save it for that. :)

I have a bottle of Jeffersons reserve old rum cask coming. I also flipped it and ordered a bottle of Papa Pilar 24 year Rum aged in Bourbon barrels.
