Artmageddon Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 When I used to do freelance, I always like to shoot glossy cars under street lights and neon. Black paint works especially well. Take it over to the Arena District late, maybe some of the bar signs and stuff can give you cool reflections. Tripod is a must, and put a nice coat of wax on it before you go. Day shots, I would wait for for a day where there are big puffy cumulus clouds, gives a nice backdrop and wonderful lighting. Just go out on some back road, or Highbanks on 23 always works. If you are looking to go a bit darker, go to Greenlawn Cemetery, there are some really cool stone structures there that look good in black and white(color too). Likwid Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 Cuyahoga Falls water fall area isn't bad, but can be too crowded. Blossom music parking lot has some places with nice wooded backdrops. Nice shot too. Don't show too many nice pics, It's gonna make me want to go buy all my gear back. Water is good for people like the others have said. Can it be in public, or is there nudity involved? The arch at Nationwide might be cool. Can you get access to a bar or nightclub? Someplace the Kickstand Pub while it's closed may be cool. ross Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 i know of a few spots with some nice graffiti walls if you like that type of thing. arena motorsports has some good stuff on the wall facing 670 but i'm not sure if there is a road or anything to get to that side of the building. in downtown there is a bar at the corner of high and main that has some nice graffiti on the wall opposite high st. John Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 I like the rundown urban areas...train tracks by spaghetti warehouse, or where carriage works is on nationwide.+1go down to whittier and front some time, on the northwest corner of the intersection there is an old warehouse and a driveway that goes down the hill behind the warehouse to the train tracks. go check it out sometime, could probably get some nice pics. just keep an eye out for hobos. they usually wont bother you though. stop at the carry out and get a few bottles of thunderbird or wild irish rose, and they will be your best friend lol.
