i got my dad a GPS thingie for golf or something or other.

then, when we went to plug the GPS thing into his computer, the computer made loud exploding noises and I had to lend him my laptop for the rest of the week so we could finish making it work. my laptop survived the install.

needless to say, the amount of porn i had to delete before handing over said laptop was probably the most I've ever had to give as a gift, and more than i was willing. i will probably put him in a nursing home prematurely for this sacrifice that was forced of me.
