NinjaNick
I'd go roads for your lifestye.
Cheech
I'd go roads for your lifestye.Agreed. With Powers you'll have more grip, but it will be in places on the tire that you probably won't use. Based on my research, you'll flat spot those things in about 3 years at 1000 per year. Roads will last you MUCH longer.
walther_gsp
Roads will last longer, Powers have a more aggressive profile and will feel like the bike turns in quicker. Either should suit you fine. I get anywhere from 4-5k with powers, roads should be good for 8k or more.
twisted12
I would get the powers since you dont drive alot and I would rather have that tire for the spirited ride just my 2 cents
alab32
Depends on how spirited we are talking here, but i would prob go with the roads in your case. If you did a lot of twisties in the other 70-75% of your rides, i would say go with the powers but since you dont, Roads it is!

Rod38um
I love my powers........ I live in twisty heaven down here in southern ohio and I drive a bit aggressively..... But the highway ride to work and some town driving, they have developed a bit of a flat spot. I'm convinced that if you dont get a flat spot with these tires on the street, you are one fine hair from death on every ride! That being said, I have never had a tire that I had more confidence in. I love them and I will buy another set........ They are worth the price for the security I feel while riding.......

That should help out with the flat spot i think. We will see.
jagr
If you want a lil' stickier get the Road 2s (dual compound). But they cost a bit more and you may not need it. So either way I'd say go with the road.

Giantxtc
Definately go with the road tires. Longer lasting cheaper and you probably never would notice the difference anyway. Save the money and enjoy the riding you do.
