Tonik
Actually only one pic from the Dragon at the overlook. Rest are from the rest of the trip. I went on through and across the Blue Ridge Pkwy then back up through Bristol TN and 'The Snake'. 421. This was last weekend.http://www.flickr.com/photos/jimkennedy/sets/72157622373006460/show/

Tonik
those are really good pics, is it the camera or the camera man? Thanks a ton everyone, it's both. You need a decent camera but you need to know how to use it. How to use it is more important. Photography is a serious hobby of mine. I have some awards, a lot of my Clv zoo shots are used by the zoo..in their brochures and stuff. To anwer the other questions in one post. It was a blast, I did it solo and that was nice while riding. I could stop when I wanted to, drive slow or fast if I wanted to. Jam on the brakes to grab a picture....but at night it was less fun. No one to chat with or eat dinner with.Nope, didn't pet the bear but that was one of the coolest moments of the trip. Tonik
do you still have your route plan.. id like to take a look at it.. there is some nice scenery there.Sure, here you go. Most of the scenery is on day two. Some of it is on 62 on day one. I really like taking 62 on the way down. Cuts out a lot of freeway, is a nice ride and only adds about an hour to the trip.Four days:http://www.mapquest.com/mq/8-CdD8m*ryg7vuO0OEhttp://www.mapquest.com/mq/9-0I2O (read warning below)http://www.mapquest.com/mq/9-44HtA83bLqsklAPLhttp://www.mapquest.com/mq/8-hxJZpmAeWarning on day two. You can not safely get from Cades Cove to 129/The Dragon based upon my map. You have to go back out the way you came in and go around. If you go over Parson's Branch Rd. to 129 from Cades Cove you are crazy. It was the stupidest thing I have ever done in my life.
Tonik
cool pics man , how did you like Cades Cove ? last time I was there we got to see some Bears too .Cades Cove was wonderful, the bear was probably the coolest part of the trip. Getting out of Cades Cove the hard way, not so fun.

It could prolly be safely done on a dual sport but there's no way in hell I'd take my bike through that. Cades Cove has some beautiful scenery all thru it though
