DTM Brian
I have been doing some research and found out I can get another mobile dyno without any of the electronics at a very resonable price. So my next question is where would you look for a bike with a salvage title and what would you expect to pay. Obiviously I do not want a bike that has every piece of bodywork broken. I want something that looks good from 10 feet away. Would you go with a liter bike or do a 600? I imagine you would want to do a big sprocket on the back if running a 600. Please give me your thoughts. I am looking to be come more active next year at bike events with the motorcycle dyno. This wheelie machine idea is just a thought at this time. yotaman88210
You would want to do a liter bike fo sho. I have thought about building one as well. It would be a hoot at our events. I just dont have the funds. Good luck man.

flounder
Liter bike for wheelie machines is what most use. I dont believe you need a dyno though.. Just a frame with a rolling drum and some type of constant braking system which you could probably build yourself for much cheaper.
yotaman88210
We could do that. I was talking to Liz and Micah about it... they use to have one. Finding the cheap bike would be the easy part.
Likwid
I'm willing to bet 8030903 whatever has a few salvages you could buy for really good prices.
Hoblick
pick up a 900RR, 929rr, or 954obviously a 900RR will be cheaper, throw a -1 +3 sprocket set on it and call it a day.

Cuz then he could use a 250 right? :-D!
natedogg624
the wheelie machine the guy at mid oh used had a zx6r on it if im not mistaken. i also think he is a member on here.

DTM Brian
This is looking more and more like a winter project. It really depends on how well the car dyno does and some of my other tuning for customers.
RSVDon
Go buy a SV650 or SV1000 salvage and put a big sprocket on it. V-twin power to deliver smooth torque easily and not a peaky 1000 Inline.
BornSinner
V-twinThat would be different that most wheelie machines
yotaman88210
Twin would be cool.
MidgetTodd
IMHO Id do a mainstream bike that most have and know 600rr, 1000rr ,zx6, zx10 and would leave the factory sprockets on it as well that way the majority of the people using it are comfortable and familar with it and then will do better on it so the will then talk it up to their buddies and brag about how they rocked on it and be back over and over with more people each time . If you get into a twin with the different torque curves or huge rear sprockets then people are not gonna do as well because the bike is all new to them and their not gonna go braggin to thier friends about how bad they did , just a thought
SirPsycho
I think Micah had a R6 on the wheelie machine at IP. They charged $10 bucks. I think you would be able to roll a number of different bikes up and rock. i like the idea of keeping the bike like what most people would ride.
