natedogg624 Posted January 16, 2010 Report Share Posted January 16, 2010 i just bit the bullet and bought basically a whole new desktop environment it would seem.this is what i bought:24" Dell G2410 LED external monitorwall mountedminidisplayport to dviand my usb hub:the monitor was 300 and the extra stuff was 100 total. ill post pics of the desk setup when i get everything organized. the cords won't be bad at all actually, i have a wireless mouse, and the keyboard wire goes under the main desk (keyboard tray slideout) and i keep everything else that needs usb under the desk so the hub will go under the desk as well. should be a pretty clean setup in theory.and for connecting the laptop to our theatre system:dvi to hdmidigital audio out connectors (built into the headphone jack; never had this before, just usual stereo pretty sweet)and yet to be purchased the macbook pro 13" -- waiting til the end of jan/early feb as im 99% sure they are going to announce a refresh of their macbook pro line at their media conference.
