redrocket04
Just wondered if anybody wants to help me out. You can come here and we use my garage, or I can come to you. If you've already got oil and whatever, id be glad to pay for them.
hue jass
Ride it over to my house and park it my garage. We'll run over to IP to pick up your oil and filter, then come back and the bike will be cool enough to drop the oil and do the change. PM me. Besides, the thing won't actually be cool when the plug is pulled.

redrocket04
Yep, I'm back. Wasn't trying to schedule an immediate appointment like jiffy lube, lol. Hopefully this is no more difficult than changing the oil in my car. If so, I should be good for future ones.
Radio Flyer
This is easier than on your car because the bolt should be right there. Oil pan under bike. Drain oil and remove filter. Replace oil and filter and bam.
chevysoldier
Unless fairing's gotta come off? Mine do, and I have to remove a stupidly placed fairing bracket. It's right in front of the drain plug.
warpspeed
the rr is a pain...you CAN do it without taking the rh fairing & coolant resivoir off, but in the long run its easier to just remove them. You'll get oil all over your headers from the filter but just wipe it off and let the rest smoke off. easiest route to remove the filter is thru to the rh side. (when sitting on the bike)Its not too hard really.Purolator Pure One PL14612 & Mobil 1 4t 10w40 oil....4 qts i think
Cheech
rocket, if you want you can bring it into my garage. I've had those fairings off so many times getting them back on won't be a problem at all. Sunday good for you?

Crazy that I wasn't born knowing how to do everything, huh? Bad day? I'd still rather learn than try to get into your good graces and F-up my bike, ya know? MidgetTodd
Your owners manual shows you how to do it, with pictures even.
redrocket04
That'd be great if I had an owners manual, but I don't. I'll figure it out and do it tonight, though. That way it'll be ready for the ride tomorrow.
