The next US war... Mexico

None of the above happened within US jurisdictional borders.

As much of a concern as it is...not really much we can do :dunno: Travel at your own risk?

The Zetas are not to be messed with and the cartels are strapped, with guns and money. The war on drugs continues to fail.

One of the two Mexican gangs in that contested area, is comprised of ex Mexican Special Forces troops. Good luck dealing with that...

Nothing some well place high explosive ordinance delivered from the air can't solve.

If you can't beat'em, nuke'em!

and yeah it was beyond our borders, but what about whats been happening in the lower southwestern states? kidnapping..... murder......... it is time to put guns on OUR southern border. preferably some abrahms!!! (not sure I spelt that right but who cares) this should have been fixed many years ago and its time someone that are supposed to be our learders grow some balls.

Do what Ron White said, buy Mexico.

Do something... before China takes that $2.65 trillion USD surplus they have and buys Mexico, and gives them all AK47s.

edit: I'm not joking... both Spain and France tried it more than once. Germany tried once. Why shouldn't China.

Sad. This is why I have no desire to go to Mexico. We need to lock the stupid border down.

Reimbrandt-Abrams would be overkill and not practical. Would be a good idea to have a few down there but the majority should be Bradley fighting vehicles.

Work with the Mexicans to improve living conditions for average citizen, that'll remove the incentive to join the cartels and at the same time remove the incentive to cross our border.

Or we catch them and send them to some other 3rd world country.

Because it's merely a war of words, for as well armed as the cartels are: they hardly match the training and expertise of all but the newest members of the US Armed forces.

Now if we actually declared war on the Zetas and other drug cartels things might get interesting. Instead of seizing drug vessels, we would just sink them. Instead of attempting to arrest cartel members, we'd be engaging them in battle.

They act with impunity and have no fear of local authority, it won't be difficult to identify their leadership hierarchy and locations, and then strike. Wipe them all out in on night. Then let the small fish squabble over the pieces.
