Brandon shot in line of duty

A friend to many of us who dual sport ride and frequent ADV rider was shot in the line of duty in Monroe county during a bust of a drug growing operation.

Meefzah who also posts here had this to say about it on ADV rider:

I don't really feel comfortable going into detail here, if I had my 'druthers I wouldn't have posted the initial info on here but since its out I will update.

Brandon is midway through his 3rd surgery. At this point he is alive and expected to recuperate but I'm sure it will be a long road.

His family is here and they appear to be doing okay. His two sons don't know yet and I'm not sure when or how they will be told.

The shooter has similar injuries from return fire and he is here at Grant too.

Right now all we can do is say a prayer for Brandon (AKA Sparkster) and hope for his quick recovery. If you want to make a donation please contact Marion county Sheriff dept.

It's pretty ridiculous in a neighboring state it's legal but in Ohio it's a gun battle... over a flower. WOW! Speedy recovery to all

saw that on the news the other night... kept thinking how silly it was. they should just legalize it and shit like this wouldnt happen.

hope your friend is well.

Uh, what state is growing and use of Marijuana legal?

By the way, it is a really big deal here in Mt. Gilead. The Sheriff guys are pretty cool folks and even though I had no idea he was a Motorcyclist, we get a LOT of guys from the Sheriff dept that help at Mid-Ohio for our demo days and such. Great dudes!

Good luck Brandon! We are pulling for you!

Just saw what it is. Medical marijuana for people with diseases and crippling medical issues are permitted to grow and smoke marijuana. However, you do what these guys were doing and it is illegal and would have had similar consequences. So, nothing remotely the same...

Honestly Meefzah if far closer to the situation than anyone else and has said the news has made several mistakes in their reports but have the general idea close enough. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and prayers for Brandon and his family in this time of tragedy.
