It's an awesome sight to see all the lights. So if you have never been, go check it out. ‘Tis the season to share the reason for good cheer at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. And, in partnership with Columbus Parent Magazine, on Wednesday, Dec. 22, and Thursday, Dec. 23, the Zoo will offer free admission to anyone who brings five nonperishable food items with them that will be donated to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. Show a nonperishable food item at the entrance to the parking lot and entrants also will receive free parking. As always, Columbus Zoo members and children under two years old will be admitted for free.The Mid-Ohio Foodbank prefers the following items:Canned meats, fruits, vegetables, soups, chili and juiceDry beans, rice, corn meal, oatmeal and pastaBaking mixes and pie fillingBoxed potatoes, dressing and gravy mixThe Zoo is open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Dec. 22 and 23.http://www.columbuszoo.org/events/12-22-10/columbus_zoos_food_drive_for_free_admission.aspx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
