jbot Posted January 16, 2011 Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 a couple things I could think of that was probably already suggested:uninstall IE, Firefox, etc. download fresh windows 7 compatible versions of chrome, firefox, ie, opera, whatever from one of your web capable comps, load to USB drive, install on windows 7 comp. I would do this in safe mode without networking, just in case.possible download spybot and run it in safemode without networking. I would imagine you'll have to load it the same way as above. malwarebytes has always been more effective than spybot, but spybot seems to do a lot from "immunizing" browsers from getting fucked.i'll try to think of more crap latar. scottb Posted January 16, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 I removed the hard drive and connected to an external USB drive reader. Ran checkdisk, no issues found on this hard drive.
