That's how I was too. I really liked the features and reviews of the xd, but the M&P fit me better. Have fun with them!

I didn't notice enough of a difference when I got my XD. The M&P is a great firearm as well, you can't go wrong with either of them!

How bad does the keltec kick.

its got more snap than the mp but its not excessive... was shooting 20 yds with it and 4 out 6 shots touching each other.... best thing I liked about the kel tec is its tiny for the hot summer days and they stand behind their guns 125%

Good weapons with great reputations. I'm NOT a big fan of short barrels autos due to the MASSIVE loss in FPS, I normally try to keep the auto's to 4" or better or a .38 +P+ wheel snubby guns, but good defence belly guns. I'm still from the school of thought that handguns exist to give you time to get a long gun.

My buddy got the new M&P this weekend. It was nice, his first handgun. Got to get him to stop yanking the trigger though.

I want the new Taurus 9mm 1911, in stainless. Nice. But the 9 round mag is a joke.

I do like the M&P. I have been thinking about getting one in a .40

If you go with .40 you can buy 9mm and .357 barrels and have 3 different calibers to choose from

$179 and you can have a crimson trace laser for the keltec. I got my dad one for his for fathers day. I limed it so much I got one for my lcp for christmas.
