Mykill
I have 8/12-8/16 off so Ill have ~5 days to ride. I actually have a break in school so I was thinking about taking a little bike trip. Not sure on what kind of mileage I can do each day dont want to be rushed and take my time. I was debating on heading to the Gap but thinking I'll wait till Oct. and take the GF but may be cool to go anyways??? I am open to really anything just want to put some miles on... Trying to brainstorm ideas and would appreciate any help.
Jamez
Take a trip to hocking hills ohio. Lots of great roads and nice low traffic country areas.Best of all they have excellent cabins with all modern conveniences for about 100 a night
JCMathis
If you have 4 days I would certainly head down to western NC. Don't just ride the gap though. There are so many more roads around that area that are much better than the gap.
rdkngpopi
I haven't done it yet, but I have it on my ride list....this looks to be a good route to see Ohio and it's 800+ miles, you could make plenty of off the cuff adjustments to make it more enjoyable..sight seeing and enjoying some winding country roads.http://www.openroadjourney.com/loadroute.asp?rid=4734 J-U-S-T-R-I-D-E !! Im looking to go somewhere that I wont get to on a daily basis. I remember you posting pictures of 421 Wicked. Going to look at that see if I can get something together. Bad324
i have a very limited history of bike trips however from the one time I've been to the Gap area, there is so much awesome there that going more than one time in a year is almost necessary to get to even half of it

I think Im going to have to be back by Monday now. Leaving Friday morning after work and heading to Wheeling and might have my gf meet me there so we can have a night out with casinos and what not. Then ride to Blacksburg, Va or somewhere down there and shortcut over to 421. Stay the night in Lexington and slab it home in the morning to be back at a decent time on Monday. Seems doable and should allow me some free time each day to take pictures and what not. Edited July 28, 2011 by Mykill
