conn-e-rot
No one will know until October 10th. I think a lot of it is just BS rumors it will probably get the same engine and just redesigned fairings, some weight shaved off, ABS and traction control. Beegreenstrings
Wait this is smart. Back in the 70's the Gov't banned the making of the Pantera because it was too dangerous and only a skilled driver needed to be behind the wheel of such a car. It the late 80's early 90's, the Gov't banned one of Kawasaki's ZX-10's? Because, yet again, Too fast and killed too many people. So, why? Why? would you build such a bike. To prove you can?I got to admit Awesome. and I would like to ride one, just once. But 300HP on two wheels in a country that 90% of the roads are 65mph or less. This makes no since? New ad slogan; We have not broke the sound barrier, yet. But, were working on it. Edited October 4, 2011 by Beegreenstrings
conn-e-rot
With the land speed event coming to Ohio next year I need one
InyaAzz
I have this magazine. If I remember it correctly, it said the engine produces real world numbers around the 250 mark (or was it 220?). Either way..I doubt you'll see 300HP.Having said that...it will still sizzle your taint. And companies build these bikes because of one upmanship. Kaw and Suzuki especially have been playing the king of the hill game for years....because bragging rights is supposed to equal sales. Supposed to. conn-e-rot
I highly doubt this is any where close to what the bike will be.

conn-e-rot
And I don't see Kawi renaming it to the zx15 they might boost the cc's a bit (one write up I saw was something like 1429) but still keep name as zx14 there have also been rumors of a zx16 for at least the last 2 years. LINK
I heard it is a 1440cc ZX14R...Much different than the ZX15 article.

There is a want for all different types of products out there. Just like I don't understand the POKER hype. It's all opinion. We are all NOT the same. DTM Brian
Would be interesting for sure. I guess you can never have too much horsepower. Just not enough traction.

Rctaylor
Yea its pretty cool.Supposedly they do Autocross at the Wilmington Airport already. I'm curious if they could setup a bike course, maybe a motard/minibike course at the least.
gen3flygirl
Wilmington use to be DHL's hub. Long ass runways and some of the most sophisticated instrument landing systems. You could land in zero visibility weather. I can understand why it would become a new playground for toys.
