Hello from Southeast Ohio

Joe here from the hills of southeast Ohio.

A little about me.... I used to ride as a young man, then got married, had a kid, Army, life, blah, blah, blah, and went 27 years without a bike. Kid grew up and moved away, I got out of the Army, and in 2010 I bought a brand new Harley Electra Glide. I have ridden the piss out of it, all over Ohio and the surrounding states..including a trip to Nova Scotia (loved the Cabot Trail), and now have 23k on my beloved bike.

I will come back here often to share stories, and catch up on yours.

Thanks for listening,:D

Joe

Hi Joe - ya need to come out west (Utah, Colorado) with us soemtime!

Thanks for the invite, Earache. I actually have a road trip planned for this summer. We only have a week to work with, so I'm trailering the bike to Co. Springs, meeting with Sis & Bro-in-law, and we're riding the Rockies down to Santa Fe, New mexico and back. They've got some nice roads picked out for us.

Is your trip something you guys plan every year?

Yea, I do it twice each year and only take a week for each trip. It's pretty easily done.

We did Santa fe for Xmas last month - 5th year in a row -and also ride there every couple of summers. I know loads of good places to eat and some great roads - let me know if you're interested and I'll email them to you.

Trailering to CO? Blasphemer!:wtf:

Sante Fe at Christmas....that's impressive!!!

I'd like to say the trailer is all because my sis and bro are old and slow, and don't do more than a couple hundred miles a day, but I don't want to make excuses. The wife and I average 500-600/day on our own...no iron-butters, but respectable.

Your info on roads and diners would be nice. there may be stuff you know, that they don't.

btw, I see you have a st1100. here's a link to a friends site all about the st1100.
